Lucky Cats and Happy Bunnies Tea Towels by Jo Brown
My second range of tea towels are now in my shop. Some of the first range are now out of stock, but the designs may reappear later (LoveCats, I'm looking at you...)
The latest range includes the brand new Lucky Cats, and Happy Bunnies. Perfect for adding fun and colour to your kitchen, or for a housewarming gift.
All printed in the UK on 309gsm half Panama cotton, really thick and sturdy, with great print quality, the colours are great!
These are my first homewares prints, although I have produced a lot of fashion prints in the past.

I have an MA in textiles and fashion,  and I specialised in novelty prints for Fashion (also known as Conversation Prints- the quirky illustrative designs)
Then I concentrated solely on illustration, mainly for children's publishing.
I am thrilled to be returning to textiles and producing them myself (though I do still take commissions)
I am using all my ingrained skills for colour and pattern layout, and begin my designs with hand painted artwork. I like to paint BIG! My latest Cat design for instance. See post here.

I love the hand drawn look, and the unexpected effects you get when painting by hand. Plus digital printing captures every brush stroke and texture, so why not make the most of it?

I love repeats but I also love non-repeats! Some of my designs are seamless repeats (Photoshop helps with this but you have to have a good eye - I find printing out a design in a tiny format shows the problem areas - ideally you shouldn't be able to see the repeat, and there should be no gaps or holes in the design)
Some are placement print designs, just made to fit the chosen format, in this case the rectangle of a Tea Towel. You can read more about individual designs in this post.

You can shop my full range of tea towels HERE. and look out for more posts from me about the design process.
